Frontend work on a travel booking platform, balancing image-heavy content with fast, mobile-friendly browsing.
Acetours (pkg.acetours.sg) is a travel and tour package booking site I worked on as a frontend developer. The brief was straightforward but demanding in the way most travel sites are: present a large catalog of tour packages — each with its own photos, itinerary details, pricing, and availability — in a way that feels fast, trustworthy, and easy to browse on any device.
Most of my time went into building out the customer-facing UI: the homepage and package listing views, package detail pages, and the surrounding booking flow. Travel sites live or die on their imagery, so a good chunk of the effort went into keeping photo-heavy pages responsive and quick to load rather than letting them turn into a slow, janky scroll. I also spent time making sure the layout held up cleanly across breakpoints, since a large share of tour bookings start on a phone.
Because a booking site is really a funnel, small details mattered more than usual — clear pricing, unambiguous calls to action, and forms that don't fight the user on mobile keyboards and date pickers.
The project shipped and has been live at pkg.acetours.sg since 2022. It's a smaller entry in my portfolio in terms of documentation, but the work itself was a solid, practical exercise in shipping a content-heavy commercial site that has to perform well for real travelers booking real trips.
